Seven Stars Foundation Military Camper Program
We hope that you remain in good health during this challenging time. Summer Camp is an important part in the development of youth and we know you have been waiting to hear what summer will look like at YMCA Camp Carter. With a heavy heart, we share with you that YMCA Camp Carter will not be offering overnight camp this summer.
Although we are disappointed to cancel overnight camp, we are still planning to offer a day camp experience that includes many of our camper’s favorite activities. While we are waiting on guidelines from the CDC, we have been making plans for extra cleaning and social distancing in a camp setting. YMCA Camp Carter has over 300 acres that can be used to keep kids engaged, active and safe. We will also be modifying our indoor space to accommodate day camp groups.
We know this is tough news for those planning to stay overnight with us. None of us ever imagined we would see a summer without overnight camp. But we also know kids need camp, so we hope you will consider joining us for day camp this year, if possible.
These challenging times have reminded us all what really matters most: spending time with our families and friends and nurturing the potential of our kids. We are confident that we will grow through this and be able to provide an exceptional experience for years to come. We hope to see you at YMCA Camp Carter soon.

The purpose of this Foundation is to make a positive impact on the children of military members which include the fallen, wounded, active, deployed, and reservists. We accomplish this mission by sponsoring the children to YMCA camps across the country for a week where they can establish lasting bonds with new friends. We also provide relief to military members through financial, emotional, and educational assistance.
The Seven Stars Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer tax-exempt 501(c)3 corporation. We sponsor military children to YMCA camps around the country for a week at no charge to the families. The foundation was established on February 7, 2007 when the USMC Casevac helicopter flying with 7 crewmembers was shot down in Karmah, Iraq, killing all seven. Morphine One Two will always be remembered and honored with every military child we sponsor to camp.
