FREE Open House

At the YMCA Camp Carter EQ Center

Saturday September 26th from 10 AM – 2 PM

One of the most powerful things you will ever see is an 80 pound child, steering a 1000 pound horse around an arena.  Children learn control, confidence and responsibility just being around horses. Come out to the YMCA Camp Carter EQ Center and explore the different programs we have for all ages.

Riding

FREE pony rides for the kids and YMCA Riding instructors will be on hand to talk about year round riding lessons at Camp Carter.

Competition

Join others in a little friendly competition racing our stick horses around the barrels set up in the arena.

Bring your camera and take your picture with Mini Cooper.  Not the car, but our Mini Horse named Cooper.

Get Close

Get up close and personal with one of our horses. Learn about grooming the horse and maybe even give it a kiss.
